Ana has been drawn against Italian Roberta Vinci in the opening round of the eight-player Commonwealth Bank Tournament of Champions.Ana is the defending champion, but she is not seeded in Bali for the year's final WTA event.
The 23-year-old has a winning 4-2 head-to-head record against Vinci, although the Italian has won the last two meetings, both of which took place in 2011. In fact, Vinci became the first Italian player to beat Ana, in Pattaya in February, ending an 18-match streak for the former world No.1.
If Ana overcomes Vinci she will meet either second seed Shuai Peng of China or Russia's Nadia Petrova in the semi-finals.
Possible opponents for Ana in Sunday's final are No.1 seed Marion Bartoli, No.3 Sabine Lisicki, Daniela Hantuchova and Anabel Medina Garrigues.
